I began my journey as a midwife in 1994 when I gave birth to my first son at home and soon afterwards realized that midwifery was my calling.
I have dedicated much of my life to midwifery ever since; as an apprentice, a midwife, a teacher, a board member of various midwifery organizations, and as the past President of the National College of Midwifery.
I am currently a student of Somatic Experiencing and am fascinated by the intersection of somatic healing work and midwifery.
I am committed to honoring birth as a pinnacle life event that has the power to set the stage for families to live more peaceful, loving, and fulfilling lives.
I live in Williamsville Vermont with my husband and teenage sons.
